Wendell Prince

Born in 1945

 

1957 Mr. Prince started as a twelve-year-old athlete in the Track & Field sport.
1959 He was trained by an American coach, dr. John Stotlar of Southern University in Illinois.
1964 Founding member the Olympic club in Curaçao.
1966-1968 Athlete with V&L-TC Den Haag, Netherlands.
1968 Track & Field Coach for Olympic club in Curaçao.
1971-1994 Head Coach Curaçao Athletics Federation.
1971 – 2009

Trainer and head of delegation for the selection team representing the Netherlands Antilles at the “Koninkrijkspelen”.

Trainer selection team representing the Netherlands Antilles in the Central American & Caribbean Championship, Pan American Games, Olympic games, World Championships, World Championships indoor, World Championships junior, and many other championships.

1978 Board member and representative of the English-speaking countries in the “Confederacion de Entrenadores de Atletismo Centro-Americano y del Caribe”.
1979 Founding member track and field club Excelsior in Curaçao.
1979 – 1986 Boardmember track and field club Excelsior in Curaçao.
1980 – 1992 Board member N.A.A.U (Nederlands Antilliaanse Atletiek Unie).
1984 President of the first international half marathon in Curaçao.
1985 Competition director and member of the organizational committee on the first track and field central American & Caribbean youth championship 10/13 years old.
1986 Member of the technical committee for the Confederate of Central American & Caribbean (CACAC)

  • Competition director Central American & Caribbean Cross Country championship in Curaçao
  • International technical delegate of the first invitational track meet
  • Vice-president/treasurer North American Central American Caribbean Track & Field Coaches Association (NACACTFCA).
1990 – 2009 Course director of the Olympic Solidarity/I.A.A.F. track and field level 1 course in Curaçao.

2013 Head coach Regional training sprint in Curaçao for KNAU (Koninklijke Nederlandse Atletiek Unie).
