Erwin Martis

Born in 1952

 

1972 Mr. Martis became interested in the track and field sport in 1972. He visited the Rif stadium with a very good friend and watched the training weekly of the Track and Field Club Olympic. After a while he was approached to become a boardmember/ secretary of the Olympic Club.  
1973 – 1975 Boardmember/secretary of the Curaçao Athletics Federation.
1978 – 1983 After coming back from the Netherlands for his study, he was approached to become Boardmember/secretary of the Curaçao Athletics Federation.
1984 – 2008 Secretary of N.A.A.U (Nederlands Antilliaanse Atletiek Unie).
1985 Mr. Martis helped organized the first track and field central American & Caribbean youth championship.
1990 – 1998 Secretary of the Confederation of Track and Field Central American & Caribbean.
1992 Involvement in the Cross Country Central American & Caribbean championship.
1993 Organization of the first Dutch Caribbean Track & Field championship.
1995 Founding member Track & Field club Sloké and advisory committee member for the running track in SDK.
1998 Secretary of the Curaçao Athletics Federation and Mr. Martis introduced photo finish in the local championships.
2000 Head delegation for the track & field team for the Olympics in Sydney Australia.
2001 Introduction of the Meet Manager program for efficient result registration.
2002 Introduction of the first 7 – 13 years old championship Curaçao.
2005 Head delegation World Championship in Helsinki.
2007 Head delegation NACAC El Salvador.
2008 Honorary member of N.A.A.U (Nederlands Antilliaanse Atletiek Unie).
2009 Advisory committee member for the renovation of the running track in SDK.
2014 Honorary member Curaçao Athletics Federation.
2016 Tribute from FDOK.
